Pet Waste Removal: Route Revenue With Extra-Dog Fees

Excel Formulas › Pet Waste Removal

All versions

Yards with more than one dog earn extra. Base price times stops plus extra-dog fees gives revenue; dividing by stops shows the average.

Quick formula: Stops times base plus extra dogs times fee:
=B2*C2+D2*E2

24 stops at $18 with 10 extra dogs at $5 makes $482.

3Tue30$1612$4$528$17.60
4Thu18$227$6$438$24.33

The formula

Revenue first, then average per stop:

=B2*C2+D2*E2 // route revenue; average = ROUND(Revenue/Stops,2)

How it works

Here is the logic, one piece at a time:

  1. B2*C2 is base revenue.
  2. D2*E2 is extra-dog revenue.
  3. The sum is route revenue.
  4. Dividing by B2 gives average per stop.

Track extra dogs weekly since counts change.
